As Chief Financial Officer at Azurity, Katharina Russo provides executive leadership across Azurity’s finance and corporate development organization, overseeing financial planning and forecasting, business development activities, accounting, government price reporting, treasury, tax, and investor relations.

Ms. Russo joined Azurity in 2026 and brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience across the global pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, spanning both branded and generic portfolios. She has built a strong track record of leading strategic transformation and scaling finance functions in support of rapid organizational growth.

She is recognized for her expertise in driving financial rigor across complex, multi-stakeholder environments and for developing high-performing teams grounded in operational discipline. Ms. Russo is known for her command of portfolio strategy, M&A diligence, and financial planning across the full product lifecycle, with deep experience navigating both high-growth and performance improvement scenarios.

Prior to Azurity, Ms. Russo served as Chief Financial Officer of Pharmacosmos Therapeutics, where she evolved and scaled the finance function to support the company’s commercial and organizational growth. Before Pharmacosmos, she spent nearly 15 years at Novartis in roles of increasing seniority, including Vice President of Finance and Head of Finance for the Cardio-Renal-Metabolic Business Unit, where she held full P&L responsibility for a portfolio exceeding $2 billion in market sales.

Ms. Russo holds a Magister in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and completed Wharton’s Advanced Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania. She is focused on driving the financial discipline and operational rigor that enables Azurity to deliver meaningful solutions to patients, providers, and healthcare systems around the world.
