As Chief Science Officer at Azurity, Raghav Chari is responsible for shaping Azurity’s scientific strategy and developing a high-value clinical pipeline across the breadth of therapeutic areas that Azurity serves.

Dr. Chari brings nearly three decades of experience building and scaling biopharmaceutical organizations across research, development, and commercialization. He has led the development and approval of products across a wide range of therapeutic areas, including neurology, oncology, inflammation, metabolic diseases, and dermatology. An early pioneer in the 505(b)(2) and hybrid medicine space, Dr. Chari is recognized for developing novel approaches that bridge modeling, preclinical and clinical pharmacology, and late-stage development.

Prior to Azurity, Dr. Chari served as Chief Innovation Officer at Covis Pharma, where he led R&D and helped evolve the company into an innovation-driven platform, culminating in its acquisition by Azurity in 2025. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and Promius Pharma. He began his career at McKinsey & Company, advising biopharma clients on strategy, licensing, and M&A. Throughout his career, Dr. Chari has led or supported more than 50 licensing, product development, and corporate transactions, and has founded and remains involved in biotechnology startups at the intersection of drug discovery and artificial intelligence.

Dr. Chari holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the California Institute of Technology. With a profound commitment to driving innovation and strategic growth, Dr. Chari is dedicated to advancing scientific excellence and accelerating the development of high-quality medicines that perform in the real world.
