Chief Scientific Officer

Ajay Singh joined Azurity in 2023 as the Chief Scientific Officer. He was formerly the Founder and CEO of Slayback Pharma LLC. Ajay led Slayback from its early start-up days through its Series A Capital round by KKR in 2016, finally leading to the company’s acquisition by Azurity Pharmaceuticals in 2023.

Ajay’s career has spanned through various segments of the global pharmaceutical industry, including the branded side, generics business, biologics as well as the API side. Before Slayback, he was the Vice President of Strategy, Portfolio and Business Development at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories for North America. Ajay has an MBA from IIM Bangalore and an LLB from Delhi University. He is the winner of E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Life Sciences Category for 2018. Ajay is also a Founder of the Pokhrama Foundation, a charitable educational trust in India.
